The Whitin Spindle was published by Whitin Machine Works of Whitinsville, MA as a company periodical.
It was issued to employees on a monthly and bimonthly basis.
Publication began in August 1919.

It's interesting to note that the Whitin Spindle was not published during the Depression years or
during World War II.
